Everyone at Kingstone Press and Aston Manor Cider was saddened to hear that Danny Jones collapsed and later died after playing for Keithley Cougars in their match against London Skolars on Sunday (3rd May).

Aston Manor Managing Director Gordon Johncox said: "It was terrible news to hear that Danny had died. Our thoughts and sympathy go out to his family, friends, team-mates and the many fans of Rugby League that will be affected.

"From our involvement in Rugby League we know first hand that there is a very strong sense of community throughout the game.

"Whilst it is difficult to comprehend that a professional sportsman aged 29 might be lost in this way, we know the Rugby League family will support those closest to Danny and we will liaise with the RFL to provide our support also."
