Whilst there are many competitions out there, the International Cider Awards is a rather prestigious one and we’re proud to announce we’ve just won a gold and silver!

First held in 1888, the International Cider Awards is the oldest of its kind. Sitting alongside the International Brewing Awards, it is a recognition of excellence in cider production and is held biennially. The competition is judged by professionals in the industry from across the globe, each bringing a wide range of expertise to the table.

Being truly international, this year beers and ciders were submitted from 187 breweries and 53 cider mills from over 50 countries. Producers ranged from micro-breweries to huge multi-nationals and the competition encompassed a wide variety of classes.

With only 27 medals up for grabs in the entire category the International Cider Awards were hotly contested. However, we are thrilled to say that true to form, Knights Cider has performed brilliantly.

In the dry class Knights Malvern Oak won one of only 10 golds and in the medium class Knights Malvern Gold won one of 9 silvers – a truly fantastic result. Both ciders have been expertly crafted by our Master and Apprentice Cider Maker from a blend of bittersweet Yarlington Mill, Harry Master’s Jersey, Dabinett and Kingston Black apples.

The awards ceremony will be held on April 26th where we will proudly collect our medals and both of our ciders will be sampled by fellow winners.
