Due to kick-off in England and Wales this autumn the tournament is one of the biggest international sporting events of the year and will reach a global audience through the fans attending matches, broadcast coverage and online.
Following record investment from Birmingham-based Aston Manor Cider, the Kingstone Press brand has rapidly become a fixture in Rugby League. [SW version – Aston Manor Cider has a major facility at Tiverton in Devon.]
Glen Friel, sales and marketing director at Aston Manor Cider said: “The partnership with the Rugby League World Cup presents another fantastic opportunity for Kingstone Press.
“Throughout the year our work with the Rugby Football League (RFL) has supported the success we have enjoyed in terms of increased sales.
“What is exciting is that we are able to extend that and do more to establish Kingstone Press as a major cider brand.”
The agreement with the Rugby League World Cup 2013 will mean perimeter board advertising at all stadia – including the Millennium Stadium, Wembley, and Old Trafford; match day advertising; naming rights and a host of opportunities to activate the link-up.
Sally Bolton, for the Rugby League World Cup said: “We are delighted that Kingstone Press has chosen to increase its investment in Rugby League, and what better way than through a partnership with the sport’s biggest ever World Cup.
“The partnership between the Championships and Kingstone Press has blossomed into something special during its first year, and it is extremely pleasing that we have been able to build on this early synergy and grow the relationship.”
In February Aston Manor Cider announced the sponsorship of the Kingstone Press Championships and the move to become an official partner of the England Rugby League team.
The opening ceremony at the Millennium Stadium will be followed by an impressive double-header as England taken on the powerful Australian side and then Wales host Italy.
In support of their participation Aston Manor will ramp up their investment in billboard advertising, in outlet activity and consumer promotions.
