Earlier this year, Aston Manor Cider announced a design refresh and record investment for Kingstone Press, as the business focusses on making it one of its key brands.

Now, building on the success of this investment, and following considerable research and development, the range is extended with Wild Berry.

Glen Friel, sales and marketing director at Aston Manor Cider said: “Fruit cider continues to grow and now has 13.8 per cent share of the cider market. Flavoured varieties are proving an opportunity to bring new cider drinkers into the category.

“Whilst the segment for flavoured ciders has seen lots of launches, and a multitude of exotic flavours, our view is that many simply do not work with consumers. Kingstone Press Wild Berry is an authentic and quality product that we are confident about after extensive consumer tests.”

As part of the investment in the brand, Aston Manor Cider announced a major sponsorship deal for Kingstone Press with Rugby Football League (RFL) at the beginning of the year.

A two-year deal was unveiled comprising the Kingstone Press Championships covering the title sponsorship of the Championship and Championship One competitions.

The partnership also saw Kingstone Press become a sponsor of the England national side, in a year when the World Cup is held in England and Wales.

The brand’s rugby league credentials has seen a lot of demand from rugby clubs, with a large number of stadia and clubs now stocking the range.

Glen Friel continued: “Wild Berry is the perfect addition to the Kingstone Press family, as our cider makers have used the classic Kingstone Press cider, made with delicious apples from our orchard in Malvern, and added a blend of berry flavours to create a refreshing fruity taste.”

Kingstone Press Wild Berry will be available in both on and off-trade.

The capability of Aston Manor Cider means that the flavoured product, like the cider and pear cider options, are available in 500ml PET for stadia and festivals.

The suggested selling price is £1.50 per 500ml bottle.

Kingstone Press currently has distribution nationally across all channels including Morrisons, Spar, MBL, Iceland and regionally in Asda.
