Aston Manor Cider has won a silver medal for Malvern Gold in the cider category (abv 5.5% and above) and a diploma in the packaging category for Knights Cider at the British Bottlers Institute (BBI) Competition.

Malvern Gold, the first release from the Malvern Cider Co., is a medium dry cider using apples including Three Counties, Yarlington Mill and Dabinett – all grown at the foot of the Malvern Hills. The cider achieves a depth of character without artificial colourings, flavourings or sweeteners and is made with lower carbonation.

The packaging for Malvern Gold has captured the hills that have become synonymous with the cider making credentials of the region. The painting that is used across all branding was created for Malvern Cider Co. by local landscape artist Antony Bridge. 

This is the third award that Malvern Gold has won in 2019. It was presented with a silver for the quality of the cider and a bronze for its packaging at the International Cider Challenge.

Knights Cider’s diploma in the packaging category is testament to the innovative branding that was launched late last year. The cider, which is produced using the finest bittersweet and dessert apples, is available in a stylish 500ml matte finish can.

The annual BBI Competition is open to all drink producers, ranging from ales, lagers and ciders, to waters, soft drinks and juices. It acknowledges excellence both in flavour and packaging.
